Family:   Heath

Species:  Gaultheria procumbens

Growing:  All season or all winter.

Plant size:  2-5 inches.

Description:  Oval leaves, small red berries, and small  white flowers that dangle by the leaves.
It is most common color of evergreens.  When the berries on the wintergreen is crushed a familiar wintergreen fragrance. The white tubular flower mature in to beautiful red berry and green oval leaves 1-2 inches and slightly toothed.

Wintergreen are eaten by birds.  It can be used for tea, salads, and gives a beautiful fragrance.
