Wild Rice

The Wild Rice belongs to the family  Gramineae.  The Wild Rice is an annual grass.  It is generally 2-3 meters in height.      From June to September they spend most of their time turning into flowers.  These are found in the shallow parts of ponds, lakes, and streams.  The water depth is 1.5 to 3.0 feet deep.  Although  the Wild Rice can  be found in deeper water, it most likely will stay in the shallow parts of the lakes, streams, and ponds.
