Wild Mint

This plant usually grows 20 to 80 cm. high. Both the stems and the leaves are fuzzy. The petals are white to light purple or pink.
The flowers bloom from July  through September. The flowers grow in clusters.

This common mint occurs in sedge meadows, shrub carrs, alder thickets, shallow marshes, and along streams and shores.

Mints are perennial which means they live for three or more years. Mint produces rhizomes. Rhizomes are an underground stem that grows horizontally.

We can use mint for foods and drinks such as tea. Mint is an herb used to help sinus and coughs.
