Giant Reed Grass

The giant reed grass is  mostly found in the Minnesota area. This plant  grows in the fall. It grows rice on it. Some deer and fish  and  birds eat the rice that grows on it. The giant reed grass grows in shallow and deep marshes, fresh meadows, sedge meadows, bogs and along lake margins. They stand in water about six feet in depth.The reed grass can be a widely occurring plant in a freshwater wetland. The height of the plant is 5 to 15 feet.
