Arrowhead
My plant has a tall stalk with the leaves at the base of the plant.  The arrowhead plant's favorite environment is a lush green swamp, though they can be found in lakes and along rivers. Swamps are the best location for them, and the one in which they are most likely to be found bearing their beautiful little white flowers.  Arrowheads have an edible potato-like root which was widely harvested by Native Americans, and is still enjoyed by ducks and muskrats and other swamp-dwelling animals today.
