The mango is a tree of Indian origin that produces a delicious fruit. Sometimes people call it "the king of tropical fruits". It grows in tropical regions such as the rain forests of Brazil, Mexico, and the Phillipines.The tree is thick and dark green and can grow up to 50 feet tall.The thin leaves are about a foot long. Pink flowers grow in clusters at the ends of small branches. The color of a mango is usually plum or purple. It is about the size of an apple and can weigh up to three pounds. It has a soft,  juicy, yellow pulp inside. It is often used in desserts, jams and jellies.
