The African Violet
                                                                                                                                   credit 9
The African violet is one of the most popular plants in the rain forest in the eastern part of Africa. It is a very pretty flower with pink, white, or violet petals. It has green fuzzy heart shaped leaves.
The African violet  can grow to about three to five inches tall and about one inch across. It grows on slender stalks in clusters of three or more, most of the time.
The African violet is sometimes called the Saneriaceus and belongs to the Gesneriaceus family.
At home the African violet is grown the best in indirect sun light and is grown the best in rich soil using very moderate temperatures.
I think the African violet is a very pretty flower!
