Ocelot
The ocelot is a medium sized animal in the cat family. It is 3 1/2 to 4 feet long, including its tale. It stands 16 to 18 inches at the shoulder. The ocelot has large shell shaped spots,a pink nose and translucent eyes. It weighs up to 35 lbs. Its coat is gray or tan.
The ocelot hunts at any time but mostly at night. It eats small animals such as wood mice, wood rats, rabbits, snakes, lizards, deer , and monkeys.
The ocelot lives on ground but often climbs trees to watch for food on the ground. It trys to avoid bright sunlight.It lives in caves where it is cool and protected from the sun light.
