The Anaconda Snake

I am going to tell you about a snake from South America, the anaconda.
Anacondas live in central South America and tropical South America. They can also be found in the rivers of South American rainforests.
They can reach up to 7.6meters (25ft.). The colors of the adults are dark green with round black markings. The young are born alive with large broods.

The smaller species, the yellow anaconda, can be found in South American rain  forests. It's yellowish green in color with abnormal blotches.
Although not venomous, anacondas can defend themselves by biting their enemies several times. Anacondas feed on small birds and other small animals. The giant anaconda or water boa throttles a collard pecary before swallowing the animal whole.
Anacondas are also called water dwelling boas of South America. They are the largest snakes of the boa family.
